Senior Officer - Application Support

Job Purpose

The Lead DevOps Engineer plays a pivotal role in NBFs digital transformation initiative. This role will lead a team of DevOps and Support engineers, driving the digitalization initiatives that are transforming our banking services using a lean leadership approach.

A Lead DevOps Engineer is responsible for leading the automation of our support and operations processes to move our organization into the digital future. In this role he/she will ensure the stability of applications in our production environment by process automation and optimization, migrate workloads into the cloud, review and optimize use of resources, providing application support to our customers, vendor management, plan and perform disaster recovery tests, establish and monitor SLAs and other tasks. A Lead DevOps Engineer will also play a key role in organizing and facilitating agile processes (Kanban) similar to a Scrum Master.

It is a hands-on role that demands expertise in application support, vendor management, IT incident and change management, as well as agile support processes.

This versatile individual will be instrumental in NBF’s digitalization journey by driving innovation and improving support processes aligned with our digital transformation goals.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the automation of support and operation processes using DevOps tools and technologies
• Provide 1st / 2nd level support to users for banking applications. Troubleshoot complex technical issues. Ensure stability and performance of applications. 24x7 on call for Incident handling
• Work with the development team to reduce deployment cycles and improve the overall quality of our software delivery process
• Coach the team on agile principles and practises.
• Plan and Execute DR Test.
• Participate in the hiring process for potential new team members and provide input on hiring decisions
• Working with vendors and offshore partners

Education level (Required/Equivalent)

• Bachelors/Masters Degree in Engineering/IT/Computer Applications.

Professional Qualifications / Knowledge

• Any Agile / Project Management Certifications / ITIL such as
• Project Management Professional (Desired)
• ITIL Professional Leader (Desired)
• Certified Scrum Master (Desired)
