Senior Mobile App Engineer (iOS & Android)

Location: Abu Dhabi

A rapidly scaling, well-funded deep-tech company based in Abu Dhabi is building a next-generation cloud-based virtual mobile platform focused on secure mobile services, infrastructure scalability, and high-performance applications. The team is developing advanced products that combine mobile engineering, cloud computing, and security-first architecture for enterprise and large-scale users.

They are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mobile App Engineer to take ownership of mobile application design, development, deployment, and production support across both Android and iOS platforms.

What you’ll be working on:

• Designing and building native and/or cross-platform mobile applications for production environments
• Developing and maintaining secure, high-performance mobile services connected to cloud infrastructure
• Engineering Android (AOSP) systems running in virtual machine/cloud environments
• Improving system integration, scalability, and performance across the full product lifecycle
• Building cloud-based front-end tools for system management and administration
• Developing connectivity and remote viewing/streaming technologies (e.g., WebRTC or similar)
• Contributing to application security including authentication, authorization, access policies, secure boot, and integrity controls
• Collaborating closely with mobile, cloud, infrastructure, security, and QA teams
• Supporting enterprise integrations and real-world customer deployments

What they’re looking for:

• Strong experience in Android and iOS app development (native and/or cross-platform)
• Proven experience deploying apps to Google Play Store and Apple App Store
• Hands-on exposure to Android AOSP development, build systems, frameworks, and debugging
• Experience with cloud-connected mobile applications and scalable platforms
• Familiarity with remote streaming technologies (WebRTC or similar)
• Background working on security-focused or high-reliability systems
• Around 6+ years of software development experience with strong product delivery focus
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• AOSP deep system work, WebRTC, Angular, React Native, Ionic, Cordova, Capacitor
• Cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud), Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD tooling
• Flutter experience preferred
