Application Architect

Responsibilities

* Defines the architecture strategy and development roadmap to align with the organization’s business goals and technology strategy

* Develop and implement technical designs for software applications that incorporate architecture patterns, frameworks, data models, application components, testing guidelines and system integrations.

* Analyze the current platforms and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools that align with the application’s requirements, based on factors such as performance, scalability, and maintainability, thereby, assist in aligning with technology strategy.

* Ensures software solutions align with business objectives, meet performance benchmarks, deliver engaging user experience.

* Collaborates with stakeholders, including senior managers, business analysts, project managers, and end-users, to understand business objectives and translate those goals into technical specifications that ensure scalability, performance, and security.

* Creates comprehensive documentation for the application architecture, including design documents, diagrams, and technical specifications

* Defines coding standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency of the application codebase

* Conducts security assessments and recommends improvements based on best practices to enhance application security.

Required Skills

Technical Skills:

* Expertise in integration architecture with strong API management experience,

* Proficiency in UX/UI design principles,

* Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices

Soft Skills:

* Strategic and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities,

* Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

* Project and product management skills

Extensive experience in aligning application development with business needs.

Continuous process improvement mindset

Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Architecture, or similar field.

* A minimum 3 years’ experience as an Application Architect or in a similar role

* Preferred certifications include IBM webMethods, Microsoft Azure Solution platforms.
