DevOps Engineer

Sr. DevOps Engineer - Databricks (Contract Position)

Number of Positions: 1 Duration: 6 months

Location: Toronto, ON, CA

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Hybrid position, 2-3d/w onsite mandatory, 7hr/d billing, no exceptions

Roles and responsibilities:

This role needs someone that is specialized in Databrick Platform administration

Own our Databricks-on-AWS backbone (workspaces, clusters, governance, cost controls)

Manage Multiple workspaces on Databricks platform

Being point of contact with Databricks support and account teams

Build infra-as-code with Terraform and automate CI/CD

Partner with data science and engineering to ship high‑impact ML use cases

Drive performance, reliability, security, and observability at scale

Must have skills/experience/qualifications:

Exigences minimum/ Minimum requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.

5–8 years of experience, including DevOps in AWS cloud environments.

3 + years Databricks platform administration experience is required.

5+ years of AWS experience with strong knowledge of S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, and AWS Backup. SageMaker is a strong asset.

Hands-on expertise experience with Terraform, GitHub, Gitlab GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.

Proficiency in Python.

Strong networking skills including VPCs, load balancers, and firewalls.

Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker is an asset
