AI and Software Engineer (1-year Traineeship Programme)

This project is with Pints.AI, a startup supported by SGInnovate under the PowerX Programme.

PowerX is a 12-months traineeship programme designed to enable and create Deep Tech career opportunities for working professionals, combing bespoke training and industry experience.

Pints.AI provides an on-prem plug-n-play AI solution tailored for financial institutions, ensuring utmost confidentiality and secure handling of data. Merging the strengths of their proprietary large model, with industry-specific features, their AI is pre-trained in financial knowledge and seamlessly integrates with clients' sensitive data. They swiftly empower financial entities, from retail banks to fintech startups, enhancing their sales and operations for a competitive, secure advantage.

Project Description

This project focuses on solving the problems with the current LLM implementations, being limited context window, hallucinations, and lack of traceability. We able to conduct research to unlock new capabilities and efficiency, and incorporating these into our platforms.

In terms of application, a next-gen LLM architecture can enable compact LLMs to run on standard office hardware, or personal devices, unlocking a wide array of use-cases, and boost productivity. In terms of sustainability, a next-gen LLM architecture will significantly reduce the environmental impact and the carbon footprint.

Job Scope

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and experiment possible AI architectures and application design.
• Code and implement applications to leverage the AI architecture and design.
• Create data collection and creation architecture, to create datasets for model training.
• Assist to write research papers for publishing.
• Monitor ongoing research by academia or the open source community for latest updates or breakthroughs.
• Develop related software for both backend or frontend as part of the AI product.

Project scope shall not be limited to the above. It may encompass other related tasks needed for the project/role assigned by the partner company.
