Position: Sr SAP Consultant – BW/BI (Business Information Warehouse/Business Intelligence)

Duration: 24 Months (Extendable)

Location: Doha

Role Objective

Manage and provide specialist support for the SAP Analytics workstream in the SAP S/4 HANA

Transformation Program viz. SAP BW on HANA, BW/4HANA, Business Planning &

Simulations, Embedded BPC on BW, SAP Business Data Cloud, Datasphere, SAC, Bricks),

BCS/4HANA, SAC, Data Bricks, BODS, SAP BO. Define, document and execute remodeling

and enhancements of Analytics solutions through analysis, planning, designing, building and

delivering solutions using configuration and development technologies. Guide the 'System

Integrator' team with key design decisions

Key Responsibilities

• Develop & Support implementation and validate the Analytics Solution architecture and design and provide inputs to implement industry best practices of appropriate solutions to ensure delivering of business requirements meeting QatarEnergy current and future needs
• Analyse and control migration of analytical platform to latest platform through use of appropriate migration tools, enhancements, redevelopment to ensure the business continuity
• Provide business intelligence reporting & analytics consultation to business for improving business processes, analysis, and reporting capabilities as well as relevant training
• Plan and Conduct customer contact workshops to improve business effectiveness by proposals and recommendations
• Plan, execute and report the status of projects, manage risks, and resolve issues to achieve project goals using latest SAP implementation methodology e.g. (SAP ACTIVATE)
• Participate and advise business for implementation of new business functions and solutions to complex business problems
• Establish and maintain reporting controls to ensure that data is made available only to authorized users and contribute towards sectional KPI’s and targets that are aligned to the ERP Competency Centre and Directorate objectives.
• Participate in ICT initiatives to develop clear policies and procedures to procure, deploy and support efficient and effective computer information technology systems based on industry best practices
• Escalate and Resolve SAP product issues through active collaboration with SAP AG
• Translate QatarEnergy business requirements to SAP functionality through analysis.
• Design and configuration of business processes, resolution of gaps, business process remodeling and testing to deliver optimum SAP solutions
• Manage resources and budgets through proper planning to finalize projects and tasks to meet business goals and objectives. Analyze and control migration of analytical platform to latest platform through use of appropriate migration tools, enhancements, redevelopment to ensure the business continuity
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Participate in testing, go-live, and post-implementation support.
  
  

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / petroleum / management / IT / Finance / ACCA / CA or equivalent
• Strong understanding of SAP BW4/HANA, BDC (Datasphere), SAP BCS/4HANA, SAP BPC/4HANA, SAP SAC.
• Professional certifications in BW4/HANA//BDC/BPC/BCS/SAC would be an added advantage
• Integration with Microsoft Products such as Power BI etc
  
  

Professional Experience

• 9+ years professional working experience, of which a minimum of 4 years hands-on SAP BW/4HANA or Cloud implementation, CDS view, HANA Data modelling, HANA studio, BW modelling, ETL development & enhancements with SAP systems and nonSAP system using SDI/BODS/ OSI Soft connectors and support experience
• At least 1 full life cycle on BW4HANA, BDC, Data Sphere/SAC with 1 end to end BW on HANA to BW4HANA/BDC migration.
• Knowledge of Data Bricks is an added advantage
• Hands on experience on requirements analysis, content analysis, extractor development, design of models, configuration, development of BW4/HANA, BDC, SAC backend and authorization controls, development of data marts, end to end testing and training up to project deployment.
• Good understanding of the SAC / SAP BO Console Management System Security
• Good understanding of all functional module S/4HANA.
• Should be a proven self-starter and team player and be able to coordinate with other team members in completing assigned tasks
• Demonstrates a commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Operates independently using mature judgment in planning and performing assignments and achieving defined objectives
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Exposure to Agile/ACTIVATE or hybrid project management methodologies will be an added advantage.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas sector is preferred.
