Technical Lead –Payments &SWIFT- Implementation Enterprise Payment Hub (EPH)

We have an urgent requirement for Technical Lead – Enterprise Payments & SWIFT- technical implementation of an Enterprise Payment Hub (EPH) is required for one of our banking client in Oman

Strong experience end-to-end experience in ACH, RTGS, GCC RTGS, Instant Payments, SWIFT CBPR+, SWIFT GO, ISO 20022, MT/MX transformations.is THE Must

Strong experience Enterprise Payment Hub Implementation Experience is MUST

Strong experience at least one full-scale Enterprise Payment Hub or SWIFT/ISO 20022 implementation is MUST

Strong experience real-time and batch integrations with Core Banking via ESB/middleware is MUST

Role Purpose

The Project Technical Lead will be responsible for leading the end-to-end technical implementation of an Enterprise Payment Hub (EPH) vendor solution across the bank.This role ensures seamless integration with Core Banking Systems, customer/business channels, middleware, external clearing networks and SWIFT while ensuring regulatory compliance, high availability, security and performance. The role act as a primary technical authority between the bank, system integrator, vendor and internal stakeholders throughout the program lifecycle

Key Responsibilities

• Own technical execution across design, build, configuration, testing, and go-live.
• Translate business, regulatory, and operational requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead domestic and cross-border payments integration: ACH, RTGS, GCC RTGS, Instant Payments, SWIFT CBPR+, SWIFT GO, SWIFT API, ISO 20022 & MT/MX transformations.
• Drive real-time and batch integration with Core Banking via middleware/ESB, ensuring exception handling and automated reconciliation.
• Lead integration with customer & business channels, including mobile/internet banking, branches, corporate platforms, Host-to-Host, AML/Fraud systems, and instant transfers.
• Ensure compliance with Central Bank regulations, SWIFT standards, ISO 20022, and internal security policies; support audits and penetration testing.
• Define and execute test strategy, SIT/UAT, performance/stress testing, cutover, deployment, and parallel runs.
• Maintain all project documentation: HLD/LLD, interface/API specs, message mapping, security, DR/BCP, test and go-live plans; lead knowledge transfer to support teams.
• Provide technical oversight of vendors and system integrators, review deliverables, ensure quality, compliance, and architectural alignment.
  
  

Mandatory Skills & Expertise

• Payments Systems: ACH, RTGS, GCC RTGS, Instant Payments, SWIFT CBPR+, SWIFT GO, ISO 20022, MT/MX transformations.
• Enterprise Payment Hub Implementation: Proven delivery of at least one full EPH or SWIFT/ISO 20022 project as a Technical Lead.
• Core Banking & Middleware Integration: Hands-on experience with ESB/middleware.
• Technical Leadership: 3–5 years as Technical Lead in banking payment systems projects.
• Compliance & Security: Central Bank regulations, SWIFT standards, ISO 20022, cybersecurity, audit readiness.
• Testing & Deployment: SIT/UAT, performance/stress/failover testing, cutover and production deployment.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Oversight of vendors, review of technical artifacts, ensure delivery quality.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 8–10 years IT experience; 6+ years hands-on payments systems experience.
• Proven experience delivering full-scale EPH or SWIFT/ISO 20022 implementations.
