We have an exciting opportunity available for someone who is locally, living and working in Singapore to lead our investment strategy across Southeast Asia.

Reporting to the Queensland Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner - Southeast Asia (based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam), you will be based in Singapore and responsible for leading Queensland's investment strategy across Southeast Asia.

This role supports the conversion of investment opportunities from the region into Queensland priority sectors, including energy, critical minerals, health, biotechnology, innovation, advanced manufacturing, defence, and agribusiness.

• Lead and motivate the team across Southeast Asia to promote, attract, and facilitate productive Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into Queensland and deliver strong investment outcomes for the state.
• Strengthen existing relationships and establish new connections with key C-suite executives of corporates in Singapore and across Southeast Asia that are planning to invest, or already have investment interests, in Queensland, with a specific focus on Queensland Government priority sectors.
• Under the direction of the Commissioner, represent Queensland in high-level meetings, presentations, and forums, and identify and work on opportunities with potential investors in Singapore and across Southeast Asia to secure new investment into Queensland.
• Provide the Commissioner and Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ), as requested, with analysis and insights on inward investment opportunities for Southeast Asian corporates into Queensland, including regional investment trends and market intelligence.
• Assist the Commissioner to identify, recommend, and implement investment strategies to promote and enhance foreign direct investment by Southeast Asian entities into Queensland.
• Under the direction of the Commissioner, manage investment-focused business missions and Ministerial visits, including the preparation of visit programs and accompanying Ministers and senior business delegations in Singapore, and regionally as required.
• Work closely with and support Queensland Government agencies, industry groups, and leading regional economic development and investment promotion agencies to access investors in Singapore and deliver investment outcomes and partnerships for Queensland's cities and regions.
