Scrum Master

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and coach the Scrum Team in applying Agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with Scrum values, principles, and best practices.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
• Promote self-organization and encourage continuous improvement across the team.
• Manage team coordination across domains and ensure timely communication of progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership.
• Ensure effective backlog management, partnering with product owners and business stakeholders to prioritise work for maximum business value.
• Provide mentorship and support to team members to strengthen Agile maturity.
• Monitor team performance metrics and delivery progress, identifying opportunities to improve flow, predictability, and quality.
• Remove impediments and drive resolutions to ensure delivery commitments are met.
• Champion a quality‑driven culture and proactive adoption of best practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or tertiary qualification in Technology or a related discipline, or 10+ years of experience in application development.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent).
• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or similar Agile leadership role.
• 7+ years of experience working with Agile methodologies.
• Strong proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
• Solid understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, with hands‑on experience delivering solutions in these environments.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent people, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Proven ability to promote best practices and drive quality‑focused delivery.

Desirable Certifications

• Scrum Alliance: CSP
• Scrum.org: PSM I, PSM II
• PMI: ACP
• DSDM: Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner
