IP Network Engineer

Network Engineer - Telecom

My client is seeking a Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of IP networks within a telecom environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build, and support IP-based telecom networks
• Configure, manage, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve issues to ensure stability and availability
• Implement and maintain network security, including firewalls and access controls
• Perform regular network upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities
• Maintain accurate documentation, standards, and network diagrams
• Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver network solutions

Skills & experience:

• Strong understanding of IP networking and protocols (OSPF, BGP)
• Hands-on experience with network security and firewall technologies (Fortinet, F5, Checkpoint preferred)
• Experience with data centre networking technologies such as ACI and EVPN-VXLAN
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) are highly regarded
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
