About the Company:

  • Our client is a leading European public affairs and policy advisory organization specializing in digital currencies, blockchain, and emerging technologies. The organization works closely with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders to shape balanced, innovation-friendly regulatory frameworks while representing the interests of its members across the EU.


Role Overview:

  • This is a hands-on B2B contract role, reporting to the EU Head of AI, supporting strategic initiatives and ensuring delivery of EU-focused AI policy projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AI regulation and digital technologies, excellent networks within European institutions, and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, advisers, and stakeholders across EU institutions.
  • Support business development initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage AI policy projects from conception to execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assist in drafting policy papers, consultations, and briefings on AI regulation and innovation.
  • Monitor EU AI-related legislative developments and provide actionable policy insights.
  • Coordinate and lead work with the organization’s members, delivering regular AI-related policy updates.
  • Be present in Brussels at least 10 working days per month; occasional travel to Strasbourg (approx. twice per year).


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Law, Economics, Politics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence, digital technologies, and/or data policy.
  • Previous experience within EU institutions is highly valued.
  • Deep interest in EU affairs, AI governance, and digital regulation.
  • Strong analytical and policy skills, ideally with public affairs expertise.
  • Ability to assess policy impact of AI and digital legislative proposals.
  • Understanding of EU legislative procedures and political group dynamics.
  • Excellent communication skills, including tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to manage projects independently under pressure, and coordinate effectively in a team.
  • Sociable and comfortable in multicultural environments.
  • Fluency in English required; additional EU languages highly advantageous.
