WHAT WE DO

We are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions:

• Business need analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;
• User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;
• Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, .NET, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python.
• Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.
• Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

This project is part of a large-scale Regulatory Reporting initiative within a major European bank. It focuses on strengthening how financial and regulatory data is collected, interpreted, and delivered to ensure complete compliance and transparency across markets.

We’re hiring a Business Analyst (Regulatory Reporting) - a consulting role where analytical thinking, clear communication, and precision meet. You’ll collaborate with finance, risk, and IT teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical, data-supported solutions. Your insights will help shape how financial institutions manage their reporting obligations and respond to ever-evolving regulatory expectations.

DO YOU HAVE…

🌟 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (preferably in the financial or banking sector).

🌟 Solid understanding of financial statements (balance sheets, income statements) and financial product structures.

🌟 Previous experience with regulatory or risk reporting (e.g. COREP, FINREP, statistical or management reporting).

🌟 Experience working with banking products.

🌟 Proven ability to analyze and document regulatory reporting requirements.

🌟 Hands-on experience with SQL - including advanced querying, data validation, and model interpretation.

🌟 Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools such as Jira and Confluence.

🌟 Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

🌟 Professional proficiency in English.
