Chief Technology Officer (PCF-49)
FinTech - Investments | Dublin City Centre (Hybrid)
A rare opportunity has arisen for a senior technology executive to join a well-funded, regulated FinTech organisation headquartered in Dublin City Centre. Having evolved from a smaller operation into a global, technology-led financial services business, the organisation is entering a significant next phase of growth and is seeking an experienced CTO / CIO-level leader to join the Irish executive team and contribute at board level.
Reporting to the Irish Chief Operating Officer and working in close partnership with the Group CTO, this role blends executive governance, regulatory accountability, and hands-on technology leadership. It will suit a senior technologist with experience operating in complex, highly regulated FinTech or financial services environments who is comfortable balancing strategic oversight with practical delivery.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping and safeguarding the organisation’s technology, governance, operational resilience, and security framework, while collaborating with international technology teams across a distributed operating model.
The culture is pragmatic, collaborative, and delivery-focused, with high performance standards and a strong emphasis on ownership, accountability, and professional judgement.
The Role
As Chief Technology Officer (PCF-49), you will assume end-to-end accountability for technology, technology risk, and operational resilience, with direct exposure to board governance and regulatory engagement.
Key areas of focus include:
- Act as the accountable executive for technology within a regulated FinTech, leading governance, oversight, and regulatory engagement, including with the Central Bank of Ireland. (PCF-49)
- Set technology strategy while maintaining hands-on oversight of infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, systems, and operational resilience.
- Own compliance with EU and Irish regulatory requirements, including DORA, ICT risk management, business continuity, and outsourcing governance.
- Provide executive oversight of large-scale, production-critical FinTech platforms, ensuring stability, security, and scalability.
- Partner with international engineering, security, and operations teams within a distributed technology model, without direct local headcount.
- Operate effectively in a lean, high-trust leadership environment with strong emphasis on judgement, ownership, and delivery.
- Act as the senior point of contact for technology, cybersecurity, and resilience matters with regulators and external auditors.
- Bring senior technology leadership experience within investment firms, brokers, or similar regulated trading or capital markets environments.
