IT Security Officer/Manager

About Your New Employer:

• An established company who are a leader in their industry are looking for an experienced hands-on IT Security Manager/Officer to join their team in Galway in their office 2-3 days a week.

About Your New Job:

• In this role, you will be responsible for technical security analysis and overall IT security management.
• As a hands-on IT security lead, you will own and mature IT security, working very closely with the Director of IT.
• Liaise, challenge and direct MSPs/vendors regarding information security.
• Design, implement and maintain robust security strategies and protocols that safeguard the organisation against security threats.
• Manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection platform, and encryption tools.
• Implement and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures (ISO27001, NIS2).

What Skills You’ll Need:

• Proven extensive experience in a similar IT Security Management position.
• Experience working with MSPs/vendors.
• Experience with information security policies an standards and implementing them (ISO 27001, NIS2 etc.).
• Excellent communication skills.
