Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead Security Monitoring initiatives within a regulated banking environment. This role focuses on the delivery and continuous improvement of SIEM / SOC capabilities, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Sentinel, security event governance, and the automation and orchestration of security operations.

The ideal candidate brings a structured delivery mindset, experience working closely with SOC and security operations teams, and a strong understanding of regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements in financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of Security Monitoring initiatives, including:
• SIEM and SOC capability enhancements
• Threat monitoring and detection improvements
• Alignment with regulatory and audit requirements
• Drive improvements to the Microsoft Sentinel platform, including use-case maturity and operational effectiveness
• Improve security event governance, ensuring clear processes for event handling, escalation, and reporting
• Lead automation and orchestration (SOAR) initiatives covering:
• Security event handling
• Incident response workflows
• Threat hunting activities
• Coordinate vendors, internal security teams, and platform owners
• Plan, track, and report delivery using Jira, managing dependencies, risks, and milestones
• Ensure security monitoring capabilities align with banking security standards, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager delivering SIEM / SOC or security monitoring initiatives
• Strong experience with Microsoft Sentinel
• Solid understanding of:
• SIEM and SOC operating models
• Security event management and incident response
• Threat monitoring and threat hunting
• Experience working in banking or financial services, including regulatory, audit, and governance requirements
• Experience driving security automation and orchestration (SOAR)
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
• Strong experience using Jira for delivery tracking and reporting
