Required skillset:

• Minimum one year of Python 3 (PyPy) experience in a commercial environment, using PEP-8 as style guide
• Experience with Linux shell scripting, network utilities and OS primitives (sockets, pipes, threads, signals etc.)
• Good knowledge of object-oriented Python and popular Python libraries (e.g.: requests). Experience with structured projects, not only IPython notebooks
• Have good knowledge of communication protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, WebSockets ) and design patterns
• The ability to communicate well and work productively in a team
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving attitude

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud providers
• Knowledge and/or experience writing C++ code
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent containerization/orchestration tools
• Experience with SQL-based relational databases
• Theoretical understanding of performance optimization techniques (profiling, generators, complexity)

Responsibilities:

• Writing high-quality Python to interact with external APIs and websites
• Analysing and optimising API integrations to minimize errors
• Developing features, fixing bugs, and maintaining systems in a rapidly evolving market
• Improving price update and bet placement pathways
• Collaborating using Agile practices (Scrum, Gitlab, Jira, Notion) across different locations and timezones
• Maintaining and debugging internal monitoring and trading systems
