We are looking for a Project Manager- System Design & Toolchain Transformation for a global automotive company in Gothenburg.


Start is in February 2026, 5 months contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.


About the Assignment:

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead a large-scale transformation initiative focused on upgrading system design methods and toolchains within a complex, global engineering environment. The assignment involves both strategic leadership and hands-on coordination across IS/IT, engineering, and external suppliers.


Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the transformation project budget, including tooling costs (licenses, features, IS/IT setup, etc.).
  • Lead the upgrade and deployment of a new system design methodology and toolchain, including IS/IT setup and establishment of services for new tooling.
  • Manage the transition between method experts driving the change and internal stakeholders responsible for maintaining IS/IT setups and utilizing methods and tools.
  • Coordinate and manage collaboration with external suppliers during the transition phase.
  • Ensure all project team members clearly understand the scope of change, their roles within the project organization, and their responsibilities.
  • Establish and maintain regular communication and synchronization with global, cross-functional teams.
  • Provide structured program status updates and represent the program internally and externally to senior management (Director level and above).
  • Ensure project deliveries meet time, budget, and quality targets in line with project specifications.
  • Contribute to requirements analysis, including identification of technical constraints and required licenses.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed plans for customization, migration, and phase-out of legacy methods; manage approvals and escalations related to planning.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate project and process risks; establish contingency plans.
  • Conduct regular lessons learned and drive continuous improvement of defined software development processes.


Required Skills :

  • Extensive experience in project management and coordination within complex stakeholder environments, preferably in software development within an automotive or industrial context.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering, ideally with a background in architecture and system design modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working in global, multi-location teams with an enterprise-level mindset.
  • Solid background in requirements definition and management.
  • Proven ability to understand complex systems and decompose them into manageable, structured components with clear dependencies.
  • Excellent communication, judgment, initiative, and execution skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship management, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.


This is a full-time consultant position in Gothenburg through Incluso. Start is in February 2026, 5 months limited contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that. This role is 100% onsite in Gothenburg.
