Embedded Software Engineer

Coalesce Management Consultancy (CMC) has a consulting assignment available for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer/Technical Lead to work on a project in Jönköping, Sweden (On-site).

About the role

You will join a large embedded software organisation developing autonomous robotic platforms used in both residential and professional environments. The robots combine embedded software, real-time systems, perception, and vehicle-like architectures.

This role sits close to the hardware and focuses on building robust, scalable embedded solutions used across multiple product generations.

What you’ll work on:

• Embedded software development for autonomous robotic platforms
• C / C++ development on embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, and bare-metal systems
• Integration with sensors, vision systems, and communication technologies
• Working with CAN bus and low-level hardware interfaces
• Contributing to new robot models and future platform generations
• Maintenance and continuous improvement of existing products
• Close collaboration with hardware, systems, and test teams

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience in embedded software development
• Solid skills in C and C++ (Python for scripting or tooling is a plus)
• Experience with embedded Linux and/or RTOS
• Understanding of hardware-near development
• Familiarity with robotics, automotive-like systems, or autonomous products
• Experience working in larger engineering organisations
• Comfortable working on-site as part of a collaborative team

Nice to have:

• Experience with vision systems or sensor fusion
• Knowledge of GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, radar, or radio technologies
• Automotive, robotics, or industrial embedded background
• Speak Swedish (professionally)

• On-site 5 days a week
