We are seeking a motivated freelance Data Analyst with a strong passion for data analytics to contribute significantly to the future of high-quality reporting on behalf of a prominent public government client. This role will focus on integrating, merging, and ensuring robust data governance that aligns with CSRD guidelines and requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse data sources by identifying the origin, understanding the source systems, and defining the correct interpretation of the data.
  • Define methodologies for collecting data from various source systems and integrating it into the central data platform.
  • Develop and define the data model and key data assets, using the established rules set by the Data Steward to ensure accurate calculations and aggregation of the data.
  • Ensure data is well-structured, harmonized, and meets quality assurance standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the development, reporting, and business teams to guarantee accurate and timely data collection and reporting.
  • Define frameworks for reporting key indicators in compliance with CSRD requirements.
  • Establish processes to maintain consistent data quality across the platform.
  • Input and maintain all relevant information in the data catalogue to ensure proper data governance.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, sustainability, data analytics).
  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, and data governance.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in Dutch or French or English


The Offer:

  • Hybrid working in Brussels
  • Long-term freelance contract
  • Up to €600 per day (DOE)
  • Start date ASAP
