Python Developer (Commodities Trading)

Key Responsibilities

• Development and L2/L3 support for Commodities trading applications and platforms
• Monitor applications and infrastructure for stability and performance issues
• Respond quickly to alerts, incidents, and user queries
• Collaborate with global teams to manage handovers and follow-ups
• Identify improvement opportunities and support remediation efforts
• Participate in shift or weekend coverage for releases and critical operations
• Build subject-matter expertise and become the go-to resource for assigned systems

Required Skills & Experience

• Good understanding of Commodities products
• Experience interacting with portfolio managers and traders
• 5+ years in Python, Unix/Shell scripting, and SQL
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Maven, or cloud platforms (advantageous, not mandatory)
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving and ownership mindset
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes
