Group Financial Accounting & reporting

For our client, a commodity trading group, we are looking for a:

Group Financial Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Preparing the Group financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards
• Analytical review of the Group balance sheet and P&L accounts
• Keeping up with technical accounting principles to ensure all reporting requirements are met and implemented effectively
• Participate in the Group’s monthly and annual closing processes
• Preparing and participating in annual audits
• Review standalone financial statements (IFRS/Swiss CO/others).
• Contributing to the continuous development and improvement of the Group’s processes and procedures
• Collaborating with other team members in Geneva and internationally as needed.

Profile:

• Degree in accounting, control, or finance
• Mandatory accounting certification (Swiss CPA, ACCA, DEC or equivalent)
• Previous experience in accounting or auditing within a Big 4 firm for the commodity trading, energy or big corporations
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS standards
• Ability to meet tight deadlines during closing and reporting periods
• Leadership skills, ability to work both in a team and independently, and excellent communication skills
• Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written)
