The Data Analyst will play a critical role in supporting NCS’s data-driven programs by transforming complex datasets into reliable insights that drive clinical, operational, and strategic decision‑making. This role requires deep analytical capability, strong communication skills, and proficiency across enterprise data platforms and analytical tools. The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams, clinical stakeholders, and operational leaders to ensure high‑quality data analysis, reporting, and workflow understanding.
In this role, the Data Analyst will be responsible for analysing, interpreting, and transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that support clinical, operational, and organisational decision‑making. They will manage end‑to‑end data workflows, including extraction, transformation, validation, quality assurance, and documentation, while ensuring data accuracy through reconciliation and exception‑handling practices. The analyst will develop dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using tools such as Power BI, DBT, and Excel, and will work extensively across enterprise data platforms including Databricks, MS SQL, Oracle, and Azure‑based data environments. A key part of the role involves translating clinical and operational needs into measurable metrics, maintaining clear stakeholder communication, and producing high‑quality technical and business documentation. The analyst may also work with healthcare datasets such as PFM, SWMIS, or ieMR, support census‑style data governance workflows, and contribute to forecasting, trend analysis, and Databricks orchestration activities such as Workflows, Jobs, or Delta Live Tables.
- Strong proficiency with analytical tools such as Power BI, DBT, and Excel.
- Advanced SQL programming skills for querying and transforming large datasets.
- Experience working with major data platforms including Databricks, MS SQL, and Oracle.
- Demonstrated ability to document, map, and interpret data analysis workflows and processing steps.
- Experience with data quality practices including validation, reconciliation, and exception handling.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to produce structured documentation.
- Ability to translate clinical and operational requirements into measurable metrics and insights.
- Experience working within enterprise data lake/warehouse environments such as Azure ODS or Databricks.
Highly Desirable
- Experience working with healthcare operational datasets such as PFM, SWMIS, ieMR, or similar.
- Familiarity with census‑style data collection processes and governance workflows.
- Exposure to forecasting, predictive modelling, or trend analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of Databricks orchestration features, including Workflows, Jobs, or Delta Live Tables.
