🎯 About the role

As a Product Manager at Qover, you will be at the heart of this transformation. You will lead a dedicated product area, working with an empowered product trio (PM, Designer, Engineer) and a cross-functional team.

For this role, you will join our Data Team and treat Data as a Product. Your mission is to turn Qover’s insurance data into a robust, scalable, and enterprise-grade asset that supports both internal teams and external Tier 1 partners.

Your “customers” include:

• Internal squads, analysts, and business stakeholders
• Tier 1 partners who require high-quality reporting and insights

🔥 Your mission (Data as a Product)

You will help shape and scale Qover’s data capabilities through three key focus areas:

1) Data Robustification

• Move from reactive fixes to scalable foundations
• Define and build a “Standard Data Product” to reduce maintenance overhead (KTLO) and improve reliability

2) Strategic Enablement

• Bridge data engineering and business value
• Ensure data models, reporting layers, and integrations are usable and directly support growth

3) Enterprise-Grade Governance

• Strengthen compliance, accuracy, monitoring, and performance
• Ensure data products meet the expectations of enterprise partners

🧩 What you will do

Product Strategy

• Own the strategy for your domain and align it with Qover’s product vision
• Translate business goals into clear, measurable outcomes
• Identify opportunities based on user needs, partner requirements, and market trends

Product Discovery

• Run continuous discovery with internal and external data users
• Prioritize opportunities using frameworks like OST, JTBD, or RICE
• Validate assumptions quickly through experiments, prototypes, and iterative learning

Product Delivery

• Own and prioritize the backlog with clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate closely with engineers to deliver iteratively and release frequently
• Ensure scalability, quality, and measurable outcomes through KPIs
• Oversee the full data lifecycle (ingestion → transformation → reporting → sunsetting legacy)

Collaboration & Evangelization

• Lead the product trio and align stakeholders across the company
• Communicate clearly on priorities, learnings, and impact
• Help grow Qover’s product-led culture through transparency and storytelling

We see AI as a strategic enabler for building better products and improving how we work. In this role, you’ll be encouraged to:

• Build AI literacy and identify relevant product opportunities
• Use AI tools to improve research, synthesis, communication, and analysis
• Partner with engineering/design when AI can create real customer value

✅ What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Data Engineer, or Data Analyst in a tech environment (SaaS/Fintech is a plus)
• Strong product mindset and proven ability to deliver outcomes
• Comfort with SQL and data modeling concepts
• Experience with modern BI/data stacks (Looker or similar)
• Hands-on experience with product discovery (interviews, prototyping, usability testing, experimentation)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Analytical mindset and passion for solving complex problems

Bonus points

• Insurance or financial services experience
• Familiarity with Marty Cagan and/or Teresa Torres practices
• Experience in a company going through a product transformation
