Job Description Summary
As an Intern – Software Engineer, you will be part of our development team that work on the design, implementation, maintenance, and testing of patient monitors software. You will have access to world-class engineering facilities and be at the core of our mission to create advanced measurement technology for novel patient monitoring systems. You will work in a fast-paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure. Patient Care Solutions develops medical devices and technology that help sustain life, and support patient care in every setting throughout the hospital environment.

Responsibilities
Job Description
- Port existing C/C++ embedded software to a new processor architecture and RTOS platform.
- Develop time-critical and safety-critical device drivers for hardware peripherals.
- Integrate and test hardware abstraction layers and peripheral interfaces.
- Debug and document ported software components.
- Follow and improve well-established principles for building robust and high-quality software products that are efficient, testable, and easy to maintain.
- Be part of continuous improvements in tools and our ways of working for happier employees and customers.
- 3rd year or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant studies.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills.
- Understanding of embedded systems, hardware peripherals, and RTOS concepts.
- Self-motivated team player with problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Zephyr OS or other RTOS platforms.
- Familiarity with multithreaded programming and device driver development.
- Experience with Git version control and software development tools.
- Interest in medical device development.
