Senior AI Engineer – Azure, Enterprise AI & Document Intelligence (6‑month contract)

If you enjoy turning real-world business problems into robust Azure-based AI solutions that actually ship to production, this will be a very interesting contract for you.

The opportunity

We are looking for a hands-on Senior AI Engineer to design and build enterprise-grade AI solutions on the Microsoft stack, with a particular focus on Azure AI services, document intelligence and workflow automation for a leading financial services organisation. You will be the person who takes ideas well beyond POCs and innovation labs and makes them reliable, monitored and extensible systems used by real customers.

An example of the kind of work you might do: taking a manual, document-heavy process in financial services and redesigning it as an automated Azure AI workflow that ingests documents, applies document intelligence, drives decisions via APIs and surfaces outcomes in line-of-business systems

We’re not the right fit if your AI experience is limited to configuring off‑the‑shelf SaaS AI tools, vendor-managed co-pilots, low-code/no-code platforms, or if you’ve only delivered isolated components without overall system ownership

Engagement details

• Contract length: 6 months, strong likelihood of extension
• Location: Remote‑first, with on‑site presence as required
• Day rate: Dependant on experience
• Sector: Financial services; enterprise-grade AI, document intelligence and workflow automation
