Vehicle Certification Internship (Maranello)

For this challenging and learningful role, you will support the Vehicle Certification team, ensuring that all Ferrari vehicles meet regulatory requirements and homologation standards Worldwide. You will have the opportunity to understand a new product development process, working side by side with the Development Team and have a full overview of the whole vehicle, granting the best solution considering legal requirements and the most advanced technological innovations. Supervision of testing activities (e.g., exhaust emissions, passive and active safety) will be a key aspect of the job position, according to the development phase of the assigned project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret regulatory requirements for vehicle certification in key markets, validating solution proposals and their applicability to the assigned Project.
• Define budget for the Homologation of a new vehicle.
• Coordinate certification testing and documentation for new vehicle models, for all Ferrari’s selling markets. Business trips will be needed to supervise the witnessing activities in all the involved facilities.
• Collaborate with R&D and Product Development teams to monitor certification requirements and support the implementation of necessary changes.
• Maintain detailed records of certification processes and approvals.
• Stay up to date on changing regulations and industry standards related to vehicle certification, promptly delivering R&D impact analysis on the relevant product, being the regulatory reference contact for the Development Team.
• Support cross-functional teams in resolving certification-related issues during vehicle development.
• Liaise with external agencies as necessary to secure Type Approval and Certification.

Required profile

You will ideally be recent graduate or Master student (eligible for internship) or in your final year in Engineering.
You will not only have a passion for automotive and innovative solutions, but also already gained first work-experience through internships or projects that allow you to understand the business complexities and help you to develop your personal and communicative skills.

You need to demonstrate strong communication skills (such as the ability to listen as well as in-depth reasoning). You will be expected to work independently as well as integrate as part of a team. The effective completion of your daily tasks requires you to be a proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
