TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER – REMOTE


PURPOSE OF THE JOB:


Our customer is a global management consulting firm working with leading organizations across public, private, and social sectors. We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to coordinate delivery of a cross-functional Feature Team developing solutions for the marketing and sales domain. The project focuses on data analysis, forecasting, and optimization for revenue growth management.

The Technical Project Manager will combine strong delivery management skills with solid technical understanding, ensuring smooth coordination between engineers, analysts, QA, Tech Leads, and stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who can bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution, enabling predictable, high‑quality delivery in a complex data and analytics environment.


MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Project & Delivery Management

  • Own end-to-end delivery of features and technical initiatives within the team.
  • Plan releases, manage scope, prioritize work items, and track progress.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure alignment between business goals, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate dependencies across engineering, data science, QA, and business teams.
  • Identify delivery risks early and drive mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain transparency of delivery status, risks, and timelines for all stakeholders.



Technical Coordination & System Understanding

  • Work closely with Tech Lead and engineers to understand system architecture, technical constraints, and integration points.
  • Translate complex technical topics into clear, structured updates for stakeholders.
  • Support architecture/design discussions by ensuring alignment with requirements and delivery plans.
  • Collaborate with engineering to plan and track technical debt, refactorings, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Understand how macroservices, data pipelines, APIs, and backend components fit together.


Requirements, Analysis & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to refine functional and technical requirements.
  • Ensure that acceptance criteria, scope boundaries, and requirements are consistently clear.
  • Help maintain documentation clarity, including functional specs, architecture notes, and implementation constraints.
  • Facilitate communication between English-speaking stakeholders and the engineering team.
  • Build consensus across teams and ensure shared understanding of solutions.


Process Quality & Operational Readiness

  • Maintain delivery processes, development workflows, and team discipline around Agile practices.
  • Ensure environments, builds, pipelines, and testing cycles are accounted for in planning.
  • Coordinate with QA on test readiness, coverage, and timelines.
  • Track defect resolution, quality metrics, and regressions during each release.
  • Support incident response coordination and post-implementation analysis.


Team Support & Leadership Influence

  • Help remove blockers for the team, escalating when necessary.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance to BA and QA roles to ensure coherence across processes.
  • May act as a Scrum Master when required.
  • Leadership is exercised through coordination and influence, not people management.


EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:


Must Have

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Tech Coordinator, or similar role in software development.
  • Technical background or solid understanding of software development concepts, system integration, APIs, and backend components.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams (backend, QA, data, BA).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with backlog management, requirements refinement, sprint planning, and release coordination.
  • Experience in risk management, scope control, and delivery metrics.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and API specifications.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with English-speaking stakeholders.
  • English level: Upper-intermediate or higher.



Nice to Have

  • Experience in data-driven products, analytics platforms, or ML/forecasting systems.
  • Background in Business Analysis or QA.
  • Understanding of data science concepts and workflows.
  • Experience collaborating with teams working on macroservices, high-load data processing, or distributed systems.
  • Experience coordinating cross-team dependencies in large enterprise environments.
  • Exposure to marketing & sales tech, CRM, or revenue management domains.
