Job Title: SAP Backend Developer (ABAP OO / OData / CDS)

Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP Backend Developer to join a long-term S/4HANA programme. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising backend solutions using modern ABAP technologies within an S/4HANA landscape. This is an exciting fully remote contract opportunity working on enterprise-scale implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend solutions using ABAP OO within S/4HANA
• Develop and enhance OData services for integration with SAP Fiori / UI5 applications
• Build and optimise CDS Views (Core Data Services) for data modelling and reporting
• Work with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance optimisation
• Support transports, documentation, and technical design
• Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with ABAP OO development
• Hands-on experience with OData services
• Solid knowledge of CDS Views
• Experience working in SAP S/4HANA environments
• Understanding of RESTful services and backend integration concepts
• Good communication skills and ability to work remotely

Nice to Have

• Exposure to SAP Fiori / UI5
• Experience with SAP Gateway
• Knowledge of S/4HANA data model and performance optimisation techniques
