Back End Developer

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Senior Java Backend Developer to take ownership of core server-side applications supporting mission-critical systems. This role combines deep production troubleshooting, strategic feature development, and long-term system improvement. You will serve as a key technical point of contact, driving stability, scalability, and continuous evolution of the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Troubleshooting & Production Support
• Lead the investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of complex production issues, including performance bottlenecks and system failures identified through monitoring tools or stakeholder escalation.
• Feature Development & Change Requests
• Design, develop, and deploy high-priority change requests (CRs), ensuring seamless integration with existing systems while preventing regressions.
• Root Cause Analysis & System Stability
• Perform thorough root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement durable, long-term fixes instead of short-term workarounds.
• Code Quality & Technical Leadership
• Conduct detailed code reviews, enforce Java best practices, and provide technical mentorship to junior developers to uplift overall engineering quality.
• Legacy Code Modernization
• Identify and execute opportunities to refactor and modernize legacy codebases to improve maintainability, scalability, performance, and security.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with QA, Product Managers, and Frontend teams to clarify requirements, validate solutions, and ensure robust end-to-end functionality.
• Database & API Integration
• Develop and optimize database interactions using SQL and ensure efficient backend service integration with frontend applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java backend development
• Solid proficiency in SQL and relational database design
• Working knowledge of ReactJS and/or NodeJS for frontend or full-stack collaboration
• Experience supporting production systems in high-availability environments
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and enterprise application architectures
