Role Summary:
F5 is seeking an energetic, hands-on Product Manager to lead our AI Security product portfolio at the intersection of two rapidly dynamic and innovative technology sectors—cybersecurity and AI. As a Product Manager at F5, you will act as the steward of product vision, driving the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of cutting-edge features that help our customers mitigate AI security risks confidently and efficiently.
In this role, you will own the product’s success by blending strategy and execution while ensuring customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
Product Ownership:
- Define features, scope requirements, and prioritize product improvements, balancing customer needs, technical constraints, business objectives, and product usability.
- Develop and manage product roadmaps, aligning with market dynamics, customer use cases, and emerging trends to ensure the product remains competitive.
- Maintain detailed and actionable product lifecycle reporting, including performance insights, dashboard metrics, and success tracking.
- Understand buyer and user personas, analyze and prioritize feature requests, and gather customer feedback to transform insights into actionable product improvements.
- Continuously engage stakeholders to refine customer-centric experiences, aligning design and development with customer business objectives and challenges.
- Lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and feature kickoffs, fostering collaboration across engineering, marketing, and sales teams to deliver frequent releases.
- Proactively drive execution with strong methodology, ensuring tasks are clearly scoped, risks mitigated, and goals achieved within defined timelines.
- Balance sprint delivery with discovery and longer-term strategic planning to address future opportunities.
- Partner across global teams to ensure product strategies align with organizational goals, customer experiences, and market opportunities.
- Craft release notes, demo features, and enable sales and marketing teams to articulate product value and differentiation strongly and clearly.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to address challenges, manage tech debt, and optimize product usability.
- Continuously improve team efficiency and effectiveness through rigorous process evaluation and proactive communication.
- Test product quality regularly, ensuring both technical performance and user experiences remain uncompromising and aligned with standards.
Required Skills & Experiences:
- Experience: At least 3 years of B2B SaaS Product Management experience with a proven track record of shipping technical products and delivering major feature updates successfully.
- Agile Experience: Proficiency in dual-track Agile delivery—managing discovery tracks for definition and strategy while maintaining focus on timely sprint execution and product delivery.
- Execution Mindset: A bias toward action with the ability to make data-driven decisions under ambiguity, enabling continuous forward momentum.
- Customer-Centric Thinking: Strong ability to connect product development to customer needs, practicing design thinking to deliver innovative solutions.
- Communication Excellence: Ability to flex communication styles for diverse stakeholders, articulating the “why” behind decisions and simplifying complexity into actionable insights.
- Resilience and Empathy: Demonstrated ability to maintain perspective, recover quickly from setbacks, and support team positivity during obstacles.
- Background or familiarity with cybersecurity or AI models and trends.
- Hands-on experience analyzing and managing priorities within technical use cases such as AI security vulnerabilities.
- Competency in clear data-driven storytelling, financial analyses, and decision-making frameworks like ROI, NPV, or competitor analysis.
