In this role, you will contribute to the development of Malvern Panalytical’s X-ray products used in scientific and industrial materials analysis. You will work on the architecture, design, coding, and automated testing of our instrument control (firmware) platform.
What will you be doing?
- Deliver innovative floor-standing XRF products.
- Develop, implement, and maintain firmware for these systems.
- Work in a multidisciplinary team with embedded software, system, mechanical, and electronics engineers.
- Design and implement new features, perform testing, and support test automation.
- Ensure robust, accurate, reliable, and maintainable software design.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant software technologies and share knowledge within Malvern Panalytical.
- Work hands-on with X-ray systems and solve software-related product challenges.

- Fluent in English; willingness to learn Dutch.
A BSc in Computer science or a related field, and experience with technical automation.
- Experience with ANSI C, C#, agile methodologies, and test-driven development.Strong understanding of software principles such as Clean Code and SOLID.
