Senior PHP Full Stack Developer

We’re looking for a skilled and creative Senior PHP Full-Stack Developer to work closely with our product owners in shaping and building the future of our Marketing ecosystem for Asia’s leading online gambling operator. This role goes beyond standard development work, you’ll be actively involved in brainstorming, solving complex problems, and prototyping innovative ideas.

Rather than simply working through a backlog of tasks, you'll play a key role in designing new products from the ground up, helping to define what we’re building and why.

Although we operate at scale, our structure is built around small, focused teams. This means that while everyone brings specific expertise, we also work across roles when needed. We're hiring a developer, but we're also looking for someone who’s happy to contribute beyond the code.

What you'll be getting up to:

• Building front-facing websites and pages based on provided technical and functional specifications.
• Implementing different strategies for existing products and tools based on requirements.
• Taking part in new payment provider integrations.
• Architecting and developing new features.
• Prototyping and evaluating potential implementations.
• Meeting business stakeholders to understand the problems they wish to address.
• Writing and improving the documentation for the products and tools we make
• Helping customer support answer customer questions
• Maintaining the ownership of our product, and assisting in troubleshooting production incidents.
• Take part in OOH on-call application support rota.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related technical field.
• Collaborative mindset with a strong team player attitude.
• Problem-solving approach with analytical thinking.
• Solid troubleshooting capabilities.
• Project management experience or coordination skills.
  
  

Technical Expertise

• Advanced PHP development
• In-depth knowledge of Composer and Git
• Proficient with Linux, Bash, and SSH
• Strong understanding of HTTP and RESTful APIs
• Experienced with Docker and containerized environments
• Advanced knowledge of OOP and design patterns
• Skilled in Redis for caching and data storage
• Strong command of MySQL including optimisation
• Advanced caching strategies: TTL, cache replication, hit/miss analysis, poisoning, and debugging
• Proficient in asynchronous data fetching methods
• Able to independently configure complex queuing systems with PhpUnit for testing.
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD)

• Markdown for technical documentation

Bonus points for exposure to Microservices architecture familiarity with domain-Driven Design (DDD), In-depth database design (SQL + NoSQL), experience with data analysis and insight generation.
