Software Engineer

Product-First Golang Engineer to build and deliver merchant-facing solutions within our payments and financial products.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and delivery. You’ll not only write high-quality Go code, but also take ownership of end-to-end project delivery, work directly with merchant-facing teams, and ensure clear reporting and communication throughout each project lifecycle.

The role has a strong merchant focus, so excellent English communication skills and a proactive, organised mindset are critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Golang services powering product and merchant solutions
• Build and evolve product-facing APIs and systems, ideally within a finance or payments environment
• Take ownership of delivery management, including planning, timelines, dependencies, and execution
• Manage project reporting, status updates, and delivery communication with internal stakeholders
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Merchant teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Act as a technical owner for merchant-facing initiatives, ensuring reliability, performance, and clarity
• Continuously improve delivery processes, tooling, and documentation

Required Experience & Skills

• Strong professional experience as a Golang (Go) Engineer
• Proven experience working on product-facing or customer-facing solutions
• Fintech, payments, or financial systems experience is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliveries end-to-end
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken), with confidence working directly with non-technical stakeholders
• Strong sense of ownership, organisation, and accountability
• Comfortable balancing hands-on engineering with delivery and reporting responsibilities

Nice to Have

• Experience working directly with merchants or enterprise customers
• Background in payments, APIs, risk, or transaction-heavy systems
• Familiarity with agile or structured project management methodologies
• Experience producing delivery reports, KPIs, or stakeholder updates
