Telecom IP Network Delivery Engineer / Resident Engineer

On behalf of Huawei, a world-renowned IT and Communications Company, We are seeking a mid-level Telecom IP Network Delivery Engineer / Resident Engineer to support end-to-end project delivery for Huawei telecom network projects in the UAE. You will be involved in network planning & design (HLD/LLD), PoC execution, integration, migration, resident engineering support, and operations optimization for multivendor IP networks, data center connectivity, and security solutions. This role requires hands-on delivery experience, strong technical depth in IP routing/switching/security, and the ability to work closely with customers and field teams.

Mandatory Requirements

• Experience: 7 years in telecom IP network planning, design, delivery, or resident engineering roles (ISP, mobile operators, or large enterprises).
• Language: Professional proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Hindi (mandatory – required for coordination with Indian vendors, subcontractors, and technical documentation).

Technical Expertise:

• Strong hands-on experience with multivendor IP platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Huawei, Fortinet preferred).
• Proven knowledge of IP routing/switching (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, SR), SD-WAN, data center networking (VXLAN/EVPN, DC fabrics), and network/security solutions.
• Experience in HLD/LLD preparation, PoC execution, network migration/upgrade, integration, and operations monitoring.
• Familiarity with resident engineering tasks: customer network performance analysis, case handling, RCA, and vendor coordination.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related field.

• Soft Skills: Strong customer communication, technical documentation, problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure in live network environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in HLD/LLD creation/validation, PoC preparation/execution, and end-to-end technical delivery (MoP creation, change management, migration planning).
• Act as Resident Engineer / on-site technical advisor: bridge planning, delivery, and operations teams; monitor network performance, handle open cases, drive RCA/resolution with vendors.
• Support pre-sales activities: RFP/RFI handling, technical presentations, solution positioning, and customer workshops.
• Perform network integration, migration, upgrades, expansions, and acceptance testing for IP core/aggregation/transport networks.
• Optimize network performance, availability, and SLA compliance (99.999% target) through traffic analysis, health checks, and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, customers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and handover.
• Document progress, prepare MoMs, and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
