Application Developer (Golang/Node.js) | Contract | Bank

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions based on business and system requirements
• Study system flows, data usage, and work processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
• Evaluate feasibility of proposed solutions through analysis, problem definition, and requirement assessment
• Prepare technical documentation including system designs, flowcharts, diagrams, and code documentation
• Develop and implement system specifications, standards, and programming solutions
• Conduct systems analysis and recommend enhancements to improve operational efficiency
• Troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve development and service-related issues
• Continuously update technical knowledge by learning new tools, programming techniques, and technologies
• Contribute to team and organisational goals by delivering assigned engineering outcomes
• Support and collaborate with other engineers through knowledge sharing, guidance, and mentoring

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in application development
• Programming experience or exposure to Go (Golang) and/or Node.js
• Basic knowledge of Linux systems and command-line environments
• Familiarity with Bash scripting
• Exposure to configuration management or automation tools (e.g. Ansible) is good to have.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts
• Ability to write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
