About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Insurance Claims Specialist to join our dynamic team at GEICO. In this role, you will be responsible for managing insurance claims from initiation to resolution, ensuring efficient processing, accurate documentation, and timely communication with clients and stakeholders. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; however, a bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or related fields is preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze complex information are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with claims management software is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to effectively interact with clients and internal teams. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude, problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
Responsibilities
Manage and process insurance claims efficiently, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. Review claim details, verify coverage, and assess damages to determine appropriate resolutions. Maintain clear and consistent communication with policyholders, vendors, and internal teams to provide updates and gather necessary information. Conduct thorough investigations of claims to identify potential fraud or discrepancies. Collaborate with adjusters, legal teams, and external partners to facilitate prompt claim resolution. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements throughout the claims process. Maintain detailed records of all claims activities and decisions for audit purposes. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and guiding clients through the claims process. Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives to stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
