Join one of Australia’s most respected technology teams in a genuinely influential role where you will help shape the direction and future of their core applications.

This is a very senior position with real impact. You will be making high level technical and architectural decisions across flagship platforms, working closely with senior executive stakeholders and influencing large engineering teams across the business.

They are open to both permanent and contract engagements and are focused on finding the right person rather than forcing a specific employment model.

This role is highly strategic. You will assess, explore and research new ways of working, advise on modern engineering practices, and help take their applications to the next level from both a technology and delivery perspective.

To be successful, you will be a true subject matter expert in backend software engineering with strong, recent experience across solution design, cloud platforms and Kubernetes.

If you started your career as a hands on software engineer and have progressed into a Principal, Staff, Lead Engineer or Solution or Domain Architect role, this will be right in your wheelhouse.

Experience they are looking for

• Extensive experience in solution design and architecture, ideally within high traffic, customer facing environments
• Strong experience across cloud platforms
• Strong Kubernetes, CI CD, DevOps and cloud infrastructure experience
• Deep knowledge of architecture patterns, best practices and modern engineering principles
• Strong experience with microservices and event driven architecture
• Strong .NET experience
• Experience working in agile teams
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior and Head of level stakeholders
• Experience with POCs, prototyping and delivering large scale enterprise applications

Permanent option: $250k to $300k salary package plus shares

Contract option: Highly competitive daily rate depending on experience
