Cloud Engineer

Cloud Engineer (Azure) - 12 Month Contract | Immediate Start
Location: Hybrid - Adelaide (3 days onsite minimum)

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement and operate a secure, scalable Azure cloud platform supporting a high-profile digital application within the South Australian public sector.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary delivery teams to build production-ready cloud environments, implement Infrastructure as Code, establish platform standards, and ensure strong governance, resilience, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy secure Azure environments (Dev/Test/UAT/Prod)

• Build reusable Terraform frameworks and manage state/version control

• Configure and manage Azure Databricks workspaces

• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps

• Apply cloud security best practices (RBAC, Entra ID, Key Vault, least privilege)

• Establish monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery strategies

Key Requirements

• 8+ years' experience in Azure cloud/platform engineering

• Strong enterprise/government delivery background

• Expertise in Terraform, Azure networking, security and governance

• Proven experience delivering scalable, highly available production platforms

• Must hold or obtain a DHS Working with Children Check
