Cyber Security Consultant

Overview

Profectus is seeking interested Cyber Security Officers / Cyber Security Consultants to support the delivery, assurance and sustainment of secure ICT capabilities within a Defence environment.

This role suits individuals who are comfortable operating across cyber governance, risk, compliance and operational security activities, and who can work effectively in a structured, security-focused setting. Individuals must have an active AGSVA NV1 clearance (minimum) and be prepared to work onsite in Canberra.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of cyber security controls across ICT systems and platforms
• Contribute to security governance and compliance activities, including risk assessments, security documentation and accreditation support
• Assist with security assurance activities, including reviews, audits and the provision of objective evidence
• Monitor and respond to cyber security issues, incidents and vulnerabilities in line with established processes
• Support system lifecycle activities, including design reviews, change, sustainment and continuous improvement
• Engage with technical, project and governance stakeholders to ensure security requirements are understood and met

Skills and experience

• Proven experience in a Cyber Security Officer or similar role within Defence or complex government environments
• Exposure to Defence security frameworks, policies and accreditation processes
• Experience supporting cyber risk management, compliance and assurance activities
• Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and technical domains
• Strong written communication skills, particularly for producing security and compliance artefacts
• You must have an active AGSVA NV1 clearance (minimum)
