Role USP: Lead the Product Owner Squad Transactions responsible for the end-to-end transaction processing within a leading bank, impacting both stakeholders and customers.

🎯 YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Product Owner, you act as the voice of both stakeholders and customers within your Agile squad. You translate expectations into a clear backlog, ensuring the team understands priorities. Together with the Scrum Master, you organize the squad, facilitate problem-solving, and motivate the team to achieve sprint goals.

Occasionally, you will also take on the role of Opus Owner / Project Manager for transaction-related initiatives, overseeing the product’s big picture, defining the roadmap, and ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.

📌 WHAT YOU DO

Agile Product Ownership

• Manage and prioritize the Product Backlog based on value
• Translate business drivers into actionable user stories and iterations
• Ensure the team fully understands the product and priorities
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews
• Make decisive choices on delivered functionalities when necessary

Project Management / Transactions

• Define the product roadmap and overall vision
• Lead refinement sessions and draft key functional specifications
• Ensure alignment and agreement among all stakeholders
• Monitor product consistency and quality

• Treat feedback as an opportunity for continuous improvement
• Contribute cross-functionally within the squad when needed

🫵 YOU

Must-haves:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in Agile product management
• Certification: Product Owner or Scrum Master
• Expertise in Agile methodologies and backlog management
• Strong stakeholder management, project management, and product management skills
• Functional knowledge of banking systems, ideally daily banking activities
• Language: Dutch or French (at least one national language), strong English

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with banking transactions management
• Knowledge of both mainframe and distributed systems
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Leadership and team management skills, adaptable to change
