DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with at least 7 years of relevant experience, who will join an EU institution in Luxembourg.

Responsibilities

• Change, Incident, Problem, Deployment, and Release management
• Set up and maintain release deployment processes
• Act as coordinator in IT Service Management processes
• Package and document releases according to internal policies
• Support activities
• Take ownership of requests/issues and act as Single Point of Contact towards IT users and, if applicable, internal divisions
• Review and propose improvements to automate task execution
• Produce, review, and update operational documentation
• Assist in problem Root Cause Analysis investigations
• Set up and maintain applications and tools at all technical levels
• Use DevOps tools for CI/CD processes

Skills/Requirements

• Software development methodologies and release management in a DevOps environment
• ITIL best practices
• Sybase and Oracle databases and SQL
• Scripting languages (Unix bash, Groovy, or equivalent)
• Programming languages (Python, Java, or equivalent)
• Web and middleware technologies (Tomcat, nginx, Apache, JBOSS EAP or equivalent)
• Code versioning and DevOps tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps, Nexus, Jenkins, Sonar, Jira, Ansible)
• Release planning, progress reporting, and risk/impact assessment
• Incident management and root cause analysis
• Operating systems (Linux/Windows system performance monitoring and debugging)
• Written and verbal communication in English
