We are seeking an experienced iOS Software Engineer to join our Garmin Labs team at our Cluj-Napoca office.

Garmin Labs is our R&D department where we focus on innovation. We employ new technologies, as well as existing ones, to develop new products and open new markets, with the purpose of bringing value to our customers through innovative solutions.

As part of this team, you will be developing, deploying, and maintaining iOS applications for a variety of projects. We value candidates that are willing to take technical ownership and make significant contributions both in terms of code and proposed architectural solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively and professionally in a team environment to develop software for specific requirements and technical problems, following Garmin's coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features for advanced iOS applications.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to improve the development process.
• Bring value by actively participating in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Utilize development tools for version control, deployment, monitoring, and other instruments used in the software engineering process.
• Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced Software Engineers.
  
  

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Xcode, OOP, data structures and algorithms.
• 5+ years of experience in iOS development.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adaptability to changing priorities, enthusiasm, strong work ethic.
• Deep attention to details and ability to work both independently and as a member of a small team for problem solving and solution development.
• Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• BSc in Computer Science, IT or similar.
• Proficiency in English.
  
  

Would be a plus:

• Experience in leading small projects, taking on additional responsibilities, or serving as a point of contact within a team.
• Experience with the Bluetooth/BLE stack.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
