Business Analysts

Job summary:

To ensure the accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of institutional and regulatory data, and to provide the Board of Directors, Executive Management, and regulatory authorities (including the Central Bank) with reliable, compliant, and timely reports in accordance with governance, risk, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Reporting (Central Bank & Regulators):

Prepare and submit periodic and ad-hoc regulatory reports in compliance with Central Bank instructions and applicable regulatory frameworks.

Ensure full alignment of reported data with regulatory requirements, definitions, and reporting standards.

Coordinate with relevant departments to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency prior to submission.

Maintain clear documentation of data sources, assumptions, and methodologies (audit trail).

Respond to regulatory inquiries, observations, and follow-ups within required timelines.

2. Board of Directors & Board Committees Reporting:

Prepare high-quality reports for the Board of Directors and its committees (Audit, Risk, Compliance, Governance).

Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), key risk indicators (KRIs), and compliance metrics.

Provide clear executive summaries and analytical insights to support strategic decision-making.

Ensure consistency and reconciliation between Board, regulatory, and management reports.

3. Executive Management Reporting:

Develop operational and analytical reports for Executive Management to monitor financial and operational performance.

Analyze trends, variances, and exceptions, and provide actionable recommendations.

Design and maintain executive dashboards and performance monitoring tools.

Data Management & Analytics Responsibilities:

Collect data from approved institutional systems (financial, operational, risk, compliance).

Perform data validation checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and integrity.

Analyze data and develop performance, risk, and compliance indicators.

Apply data governance, data quality, and information security principles.

Maintain proper archiving and confidentiality of reports and datasets.

Governance, Risk & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to corporate governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management policies.

Support internal and external audits by providing accurate data, reports, and documentation.

Contribute to the development and enhancement of reporting policies, procedures, and controls.

Authorities & Accountabilities:

Authorized access to institutional data in accordance with approved access rights.

Direct coordination with internal stakeholders to obtain required information.

Recommend improvements to reporting structures, analytics, and data controls.

Experience/Skills:

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in regulatory reporting, institutional reporting, or data analytics, preferably within a regulated financial institution.
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong experience with Business Intelligence and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of regulatory reporting requirements, KPIs, and KRIs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certifications are an advantage (e.g., Risk Management, Compliance, Data Analytics).
