Senior Full Stack Engineer (Frontend-Focused)

Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid – 1 day/week onsite)

The Role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Frontend-Focused), you will play a key role in shaping frontend architecture, delivering high-quality user experiences, and contributing to backend services that support large-scale consumer platforms.

You’ll work within a small, high-impact engineering team and collaborate closely with Product, Design, and executive leadership to influence both technical and product direction.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ownership-driven environments and enjoys building polished, scalable interfaces while maintaining strong full-stack fundamentals.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality, scalable frontend applications used by millions of users
• Lead frontend architecture decisions, standards, and best practices as the platform evolves
• Deliver end-to-end features, from concept and design through deployment and iteration
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams on AI-enabled and data-driven user experiences
• Contribute to backend services and APIs to support frontend functionality (~30% backend)
• Improve performance, accessibility, and reliability across consumer-facing and internal tools
• Mentor junior engineers and help shape engineering culture and development practices

• Frontend: React, TypeScript
• Backend: Node.js
• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3)
• Architecture: Modern, cloud-native, API-driven systems

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong frontend focus
• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript, with a passion for UI/UX and performance optimization
• Solid experience building and consuming APIs using Node.js
• Experience working in cloud-based environments, ideally AWS
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, design patterns, and scalable systems
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership in a small, fast-moving team
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
