We are seeking a proactive and analytical Demand Planning Data Scientist to deliver accurate demand forecasts and actionable insights that support business decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute end‑to‑end demand planning and forecasting across a portfolio of platinum customers
- Build, maintain, and govern automated forecasting and inventory optimisation models using Python
- Develop predictive analytics to support improved Procurement operations.
- Analyse large, complex datasets to identify trends, root causes, and actionable insights that influence business outcomes
- Apply advanced statistical and machine‑learning techniques to improve forecast accuracy and service levels
- Partner closely with Sales and key stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver data‑driven solutions
- Monitor market trends and demand fluctuations by product category
- Report on forecast performance across NPIs, contracts, promotions, and sales performance
- Support and facilitate S&OP meetings, including preparation of reports, demand inputs, and insight packs
- Maintain forecasting logic, model assumptions, rules, and master data governance
- Develop intuitive dashboards and visualisations to support efficient decision making
- Provide training and guidance on the use of Python and analytics best practices within the business
- Proven experience in data science, analytics, or demand planning roles
- Tertiary qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Intermediate Python proficiency (mandatory) for analytics, automation, and modelling
- Strong Power BI capability, including DAX, Power Query, and Power Pivot
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with large datasets
- Proficient in PowerPoint to deliver clear, professional stakeholder presentations
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non‑technical audiences
- Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience building dashboards and bespoke analysis to support business decision making
