Most tokenization efforts have struggled because products land onchain with high minimums, heavy KYC requirements, and no clear customer base. The company is solving for both sides, onboarding high-quality assets and building the distribution layer that drives actual adoption. Through our flagship product, Nest, we tokenize assets including securities & structured credit strategies, and deploy them into permissionless, composable vaults — unlocking novel use cases such as structured leverage at the share level for a private credit fund. Plume is backed by leading investors such as Haun Ventures, Galaxy Digital, and Apollo. Our team comprises experts from top Web 2 and Web 3 companies like Coinbase, Binance, J.P. Morgan, and Google.


About the Role

We’re hiring a Director, Institutional & Capital Markets to expand company’s footprint across the Americas and EMEA. The role sits at the intersection of asset diligence, institutional relationship building, and capital formation — helping the company scale asset onboarding and raise capital for its on‑chain funds. You will help design and execute our asset‑onboarding go‑to‑market strategy, allocate team resources against the best opportunities, and map out our institutional capital strategy and LP coverage. The role combines strategy and execution: you’ll spend time researching markets, expanding our LP network, and leading outreach, meetings, and relationships from idea through execution. This role requires strong financial judgment, comfort with legal and structural diligence, and the ability to manage senior external counterparties. It reports to the Head of GTM


Ideal Background

Sell‑side capital markets / credit

  • 7–12 years in capital markets, DCM, ECM, structured credit, securitization, or leveraged finance at a top bank (GS, JPM, MS, BofA, Citi, Barclays, CS/UBS, etc.).
  • Currently originating or structuring products and working directly with asset managers, hedge funds, insurers, or PE/credit funds.

Buy‑side institutional / capital raising

  • Investor relations, capital formation, fundraising, or product specialist roles at:
  • Credit funds, private credit platforms, structured credit managers.
  • Multi‑asset or alternatives managers with strong fixed‑income/credit sleeves.
  • Has LP relationships (family offices, FoFs, pension/insurers, OCIOs, private banks).

Credit / structured finance specialists

  • Background in ABS/MBS, CLOs, private credit, specialty finance, or structured products.
  • Comfortable diligencing structures, covenants, waterfalls, and legal docs.

Fintech / RWA / infra crossover

  • Business development / capital markets / partnerships roles at:
  • RWA platforms, tokenization/settlement infra, digital asset custodians, or institutional crypto venues.
  • Has TradFi client cred plus enough crypto/RWA exposure to ramp quickly.

General pattern

  • Track record of owning a book of relationships and closing institutional capital (not just running spreadsheets).
  • Can genuinely operate as a player‑coach on strategy and execution (design GTM + do meetings and deals).


Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development: Help define and execute the strategy for integrating institutional financial assets into the project ecosystem, building bridges between traditional capital markets and crypto markets.
  • Asset Diligence: Source and diligence credit funds, fixed income strategies, and structured financial products by performing risk assessments across structure, collateral, liquidity, counterparty, and legal dimensions.
  • Capital Formation: Lead institutional capital formation for company’s on‑chain investment products across the U.S. and EMEA, sourcing and managing relationships with TradFi LPs seeking structured exposure to tokenized yield and real‑world assets.
  • External Partner Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with hedge funds, asset managers, banks, and family offices to foster collaboration and increase adoption of company’s platform.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and execute new market opportunities by leveraging RWAs to create new opportunities for yield, liquidity, and structured exposure in a crypto‑native context.
  • Performance Ownership: Own clear targets for the quality and number of assets onboarded and AUM raised into company’s on‑chain products.


Required Skills

A. 7+ years of experience in capital markets, institutional finance, or asset management, ideally with exposure to both sell and buy sides of traditional finance.

B. Deep understanding of financial products, including derivatives, lending, structured finance, and other institutional asset classes.

C. Experience working with institutional investors and managing high-profile relationships.

D. Crypto/RWA/DeFi familiarity (basic educated prep expected, total ignorance red flag).


Bonus Skills

A. Equity capital markets if right team/company.

B. Credit/fixed income/structured finance preferred

C. Strong ability to read and reason through legal and financial documentation and to support asset‑level diligence.

D. Passion for innovation in financial markets and a desire to lead the charge in transforming RWAs through crypto.

E. Diligence on assets/financial documentation.


Compensation

  • Location: High preference New York (hybrid, office); secondary US major cities; tertiary London.
  • Compensation: $200K–$250K base salary, with a target annual bonus of up to 100% of base, plus token grants and equity options. Details on structure and vesting will be discussed during the interview process.
  • Relocation/Visa: Open to visa sponsorship case-by-case.
