About The Opportunity
As a Senior Network Engineer of our Statewide Network Services – Data Centre Infrastructure team at eHealth NSW, you will help make a real difference in healthcare through managing our operational & design work around Campus Access (Wireless and Wired), AAA/NAC, Location Services, Software Defined Access RF Analysis and WiFi Surveys and more. As part of this team there will be an expectation to provide on-call support on a rotational basis.
This role offers the opportunity to support Data Centres across NSW Health in collaboration with Product Owners and Principal Engineers, ensuring we deliver to customer expectations and business goals.

About The Opportunity

In This Role, You Will
- Participate in internal and external customer meetings to understand customer requests in collaboration with the Product Owner.
- Consultation Act as an advisory to internal and external customers
- Develop and contribute to an agile mindset within the team by carrying out daily stand ups as well as ‘lesson learnt’ meetings to stay ahead of operational issues.
- Help improve processes in the Change and Event management process, various performance characteristics and service delivery technical issues.
- Be a proactive problem solver to maintain system performance.
- Train and mentor other members of the team, maintaining up-to-date knowledge with current technology, to be able to assist other eHealth teams, Local Health Districts and Service Desk.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is experienced in network technologies Campus Access (Wired & Wireless), Software Defined Access, RF planning and Analysis, Location & Hyper-location Services, AAA/NAC, Scripting, Automation and orchestration, Firewalls, Switching, Routing, EVPN, VxLAN, Proxy services.
- Design – Ability to design and develop customer centric solutions and produce HLD/LLD documents.
- Is proactive in their approach to their work to contribute to document writing, problem analysis and resolution, and process improvement and uplift.
- Is adaptable and agile in their mindset and guide the team in a growth-mindset culture.
- Has experience improving processes, including change and event management methodologies.
- Can collaborate with cross-functional teams and various internal and external stakeholders.
