Back End Developer (.NET)

We are working with a large organisation undergoing a major digital platform rebuild and are looking for an experienced Back-End Developer to join the delivery team.

This role focuses on building secure, scalable, and modular backend services within a modern microservices architecture, supporting a high-traffic, mission-critical platform.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing .NET Core-based microservices to support independent and scalable deployments
• Building and integrating secure APIs through an enterprise API management layer
• Developing efficient and secure data access layers using Oracle databases
• Collaborating closely with DevOps teams to maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
• Working within a Kubernetes-based on-prem / hybrid environment
• Implementing robust security standards including JWT authentication, encryption, and RBAC
• Participating in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and architectural discussions
• Producing clear technical documentation to enterprise standards

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of experience in .NET Core / .NET 6+ backend development

Required Skills

• Strong experience with microservices architectures
• Solid background in RESTful APIs and enterprise integrations
• Strong Oracle database experience (PL/SQL, optimization)
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working in large, complex systems with high reliability and security requirements
