Lead Android Developer

Job Title: Lead Software Engineer (Android – Kotlin)

Location: New York, NY, United States (Onsite)

Job Duration: 6 Months (Contract)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Android SDK
• Lead application development with a focus on system design, performance, scalability, and operational stability
• Develop and execute unit and automation tests using JUnit and related frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver business-critical solutions
• Ensure application resiliency, security, and adherence to best engineering practices
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and maintenance in a large enterprise environment

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of applied experience in software engineering with formal training or certification
• Strong hands-on experience with Android development using Kotlin
• Proficiency in Java and modern programming practices
• Experience with Android SDK, JUnit, and mobile testing strategies
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Web Services, and event-driven Microservices
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and shift-left testing practices
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining applications in large corporate environments

Additional Technical Skills

• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred)
• Infrastructure provisioning using Terraform
• Containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS
• Hands-on experience or exposure to Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright
• Experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Demonstrated knowledge of technical disciplines such as Cloud, Mobile, AI/ML, or related domains

• Interest or exposure to AI / ML / NLP concepts
• Experience with modern DevOps and automation practices
