Full Stack Developer

The Full Stack Developer is a hands-on engineering role responsible for building, testing, and enhancing application features under the guidance of senior engineers and delivery leads. The role has a strong focus on Angular-based frontend development, quality engineering, and adherence to established architecture and delivery standards, while gaining exposure to backend and cloud-native development.

Frontend Development Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Angular-based frontend applications, ensuring high-quality user experience, performance, and accessibility
• Translate UX designs and user stories into well-structured, reusable, and testable frontend components
• Follow established frontend architecture patterns, coding standards, and design guidelines
• Implement responsive and cross-browser compatible user interfaces
• Collaborate closely with UX, BAs, and backend developers to deliver cohesive features

Backend & Full Stack Exposure

• Contribute to backend services and APIs using .NET under guidance from senior engineers
• Integrate frontend components with backend services and APIs
• Write and optimise SQL queries to support application functionality and data retrieval
• Gain exposure to AWS serverless components and cloud-native application patterns

Testing & Quality Engineering

• Write and maintain unit tests, component tests, and integration tests, with a strong focus on frontend testing
• Use testing frameworks and tools appropriate for Angular applications (e.g. Jasmine, Karma, Jest, Cypress or equivalent)
• Actively participate in defect triage, root-cause analysis, and regression testing
• Ensure features meet acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements before release
• Contribute to improving test coverage and overall product quality

CI/CD, DevOps & Observability Exposure

• Work within established CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), ensuring code quality checks and tests are executed
• Support deployment and release activities under guidance from senior team members
• Gain exposure to observability and monitoring practices using Datadog

AI-Assisted Development Practices

• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, CodeRabbit) to support coding, testing, documentation, and learning
• Follow team guidelines for responsible and secure use of AI tools
• Leverage AI tools to improve productivity while maintaining code quality

Ways of Working & Collaboration

• Work closely with senior engineers, Delivery Leads, Product Owners, QA, and designers
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
• Follow defined SDLC processes and quality gates
• Operate from the Melbourne office a minimum of three days per week, supporting close collaboration with the delivery team
